Painful urination followed by blood in urine, high blood pressure, the difficulty faced in starting to urinate, frequent urge to urinate.

Other symptoms include:

Back pain and swelling of hands and feet as fluids build up in the body with puffiness of the face around the eyes.

The kidney profile test is a bunch of tests performed together to diagnose the functioning of the kidney.

The group of test measures the presence of the total amount of various substances present in your blood. It includes minerals like proteins, electrolytes, and glucose.

The main function of the kidney is to eliminate waste from the body by filtering albumin and larger molecules in the blood and retaining them through the process of secretion to get those molecules re-used by the body.

And when the kidneys do not function properly, it leads to the accumulation of the waste products in the blood. As a result of which the level of fluids increases to higher volumes that can cause damage to the body with kidney damage.

You will be advised by the doctor to fast for 8 to 12 hours before going in for the test.

After your test, depending on your result, your doctor will start your treatment accordingly.

Medications will be given to control your high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease.

If detected with kidney disease, strong medications will be given to destroy the underlying cause of it.

Further, you will be prescribed to change your dietary habits as well.

Taking the right amount of healthy food and regular medications will help you with better test results for the next one whenever you will be asked by your doctor.

Test Method 1: A blood sample will be collected from a vein of your arm.

Test Method 2: An early morning urine sample will be collected.

Test Report: The usual turn around time is 24 to 48 hours.

When your doctor suspects you of suffering from symptoms of kidney disease or kidney damage, you will be prescribed to take this test.
