This test detects the types of systemic vasculitis which is an autoimmune disease. Autoimmune diseases are caused due to inflammation of blood vessels or organ failure or tissue damage. This blood test measures the total amount of autoantibodies present in the blood.

Symptoms of autoimmune vasculitis are:

Hearing loss 

Skin rashes

Respiratory problem with running nose

Kidney infection with protein found in urine

Lung infection with difficulty in coughing

Eye infection leading to conjunctivitis, blurred vision or loss of sight

Anti Neutrophilic Cytoplasmic Antibody is of two types: 

Perinuclear ANCA (pANCA)

Cytoplasmic ANCA (cANCA)

This test measures only Cytoplasmic ANCA (pANCA) in the test.

Systemic Vasculitis belongs to a group of disorders accountable for weakening and damaging of the blood vessels. This further leads to tissue or organ damage as well.

Systemic Vasculitis is also responsible for inflammatory bowel disease. Symptoms are:



Rectal bleeding

Delayed development in children

Abdominal pain with cramps
